Virus-mediated CPE can be quantitatively monitored using RT-CES® System as shown in the figure. In this experiment, Vero cells were mixed with serially diluted West Nile Virus particles, and then seeded in wells of E-Plate®. The virus-mediated CPE was continuously monitored in real time over 6 days on the RT-CES® System. The time and viral titer dependent CPE were automatically recorded. This one-step viral CPE assay format can also be used for viral neutralizing antibody and antiviral agent detection and quantification.
