Cell-mediated Cytotoxicity
- Dynamic monitoring of the cell-mediated cytotoxicity (top panel). In this example, A549 cancer cells were seeded in the wells of the E-Plate® and allowed to proliferate to about 45 hours, at which point natural killer cells, NK-92 were added at different densities. The RT-CES® system can clearly monitor the density-dependent cytotoxicity of NK-92 cells on A549 cells.
- Dynamic monitoring of antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) assays (bottom panel). In this example, cells expressing a specific receptor of interest were seeded in the wells of E-Plates. At the indicated time point PBMCs were added in the absence or presence of different doses of an antibody specific for the receptor of interest. The data clearly shows that the antibody mediates PBMC cytotoxicity upon the target cells.
